Seventh coaching change of the current season finalized

SV Rödinghausen has pulled the emergency brake after a very weak first half of the season. A new coach will be presented in the next few days.

This decision was to be expected. “We will analyze the situation in the next few days and then see what we do,” Alexander Müller told Forecasting last Saturday.

Two days later, the sporting director of SV Rödinghausen made a decision regarding the coach. Following a 3-4 defeat against Sportfreunde Siegen – Rödinghausen had been leading 3-0 – SVR decided to terminate its collaboration with head coach Dennis da Silva Félix prematurely.

A successor will be announced in the next few days. According to Forecasting information, Lars Fleischer, who was assistant coach at Rot-Weiss Essen for many years, is considered a promising candidate.

“We very much regret that Dennis and we at SV Rödinghausen have to go our separate ways. We firmly believed in this idea and, of course, had a major shake-up in the squad. Changes take time, which we consciously gave him. Nevertheless, we did not achieve the results we urgently needed in the last few games. Even though this decision was very difficult for us on a personal level, it was necessary from a sporting point of view.
SV Rödinghausen wishes Dennis da Silva Félix all the best for the future, both personally and professionally,“ explained Müller. 17 games and only 17 points: Rödinghausen is just above the relegation zone. Clearly, there is a lot of dissatisfaction at Wiehen. ”We saw once again against Siegen that the team has quality. But we need to convert that into points in the new year.”
With a new coach.

SV Rödinghausen is the seventh club in the 2025/2026 Regionalliga West season to make a change of coach. Previously, Bonner SC (Björn Mehnert replaced Sascha Glatzel), Borussia Mönchengladbach II (Sascha Eickel succeeded Eugen Polanski), Borussia Dortmund II (Daniel Rios replaced Mike Tullberg), SSVg Velbert (Bogdan Komorowski took over from Ismail Jaouri), Sportfreunde Siegen (Boris Schommers replaced Thorsten Nehrbauer) and 1. FC Bocholt, which is still looking for a new coach following the resignation of Christopher Schorch.
