Even under new coach Markus Kauczinski, 1860 Munich can’t seem to get going. The team is now just two points ahead of the first relegation spot.

TSV 1860 Munich was considered one of the top favorites in the 3. Liga thanks to spectacular transfers before the season. Among others, the club signed Kevin Volland, who, however, made no impact in the latest defeat and remained in the locker room at halftime because he had already received a yellow card and committed another hard tackle.

After showering, he had to watch as his team was routed 0–4 by relegation candidate Jahn Regensburg. They are eight points behind the third-place relegation playoff spot and the direct promotion spot, as Energie Cottbus and VfL Osnabrück are tied for second and third place.

Much worse: After 14 matchdays, the “Lions” are just two points above the first relegation spot. Even under new coach Markus Kauczinski, their form has been inconsistent—two home wins are now offset by two losses on the road.

In Regensburg, it was Lucas Hermes who put Jahn ahead before halftime. The hosts played great soccer in the first 45 minutes and went into halftime with a well-deserved 1-0 lead.

After the break, things got even worse for the Munich team. After hitting the crossbar in the 61st minute, Regensburg extended the lead to 4-0. Leopold Wurm scored to make it 2–0, while Noel Eichinger and Philipp Müller completed the humiliation for 1860.

After the international break, Regensburg travels to Aachen (Saturday, November 22, 2:00 p.m.). 1860 Munich will play at home against 1. FC Saarbrücken on Sunday (November 23, 1:30 p.m.).
