While Adler Union Frintrop won the 11th matchday of the Landesliga Niederrhein, many of their pursuers lost ground. Frohnhausen continues to slide down the table.
On the 11th matchday of the Landesliga Niederrhein 3, Adler Union Frintrop won in a commanding manner and moved away from the top. The chasing teams Mintard, Remscheid and Wermelskirchen lost. Frohnhausen slips further and further down the table.
DJK Adler Union Frintrop – SV Wermelskirchen 5:1 (2:0)
The leaders did not show any weakness and defeated the fifth-placed team from Wermelskirchen 5:1. Maximilian Tißen scored a brace before half-time to put the game beyond doubt (17./44.). After the break, Elias Brechmann (49th), top scorer Yannick Reiners (52nd) and Tim Bönisch (63rd) increased the score.
The consolation goal for Wermelskirchen was scored by Ali Eren Eryürük (80th). Frintrop won this very important game, because with a defeat there would have been only two points between the teams, now there are eight.
SF Niederwenigern – FSV Vohwinkel 1:0 (1:0)
SF Niederwenigern, relegated from the Oberliga, are getting back on track in the Landesliga and are now unbeaten in four games. Marcel Kraushaar’s team won 1-0 against FSV Vohwinkel with a goal by Sascha Friedrich (37th). With the three points, Niederwenigern moved up to second place in the table, two points ahead of Mintard. Front runner Frintrop is still four points away.
DJK Blau-Weiß Mintard – SpVgg Steele 3:3 (2:2)
And Christian Knappmann’s team also fluffed in the promotion race. They only managed a 3-3 draw against SpVgg Steele. The match started well for the Mintards. Shogo Tabata (16th) and Moreno Mandel (23rd) gave the blue and white team a 2:0 lead.
But before the break, Steele equalised with a brace from Ilias Elouriachi (28./45.). Mandel again took the lead midway through the second half (76th). In the end, however, Steele had the last word in the person of Timo Nickel (88th). The loss of a point means that Niederwenigern pass Mintard in second place and Frintrop also close the gap on Knappmann’s team to six points.
SC Velbert – FC Remscheid 1:0 (1:0)
SC Velbert won 1-0 against FC Remscheid, with Andri Buzolli scoring the goal of the day in the 37th minute of the match. Remscheid is now without a win in three league games and is losing touch with the top places. Leaders Adler Union Frintrop are now seven points adrift.
SC Reusrath – VfB Frohnhausen 4:2 (1:1)
VfB Frohnhausen slipped deeper and deeper into the bottom of the table with a 4-2 defeat against SC Reusrath and are now in third last place. The Lions were even leading 2-1 until the 78th minute. In the final minutes, however, Maximilian Steinebach equalised (78th) before he completed the flawless hat-trick and victory with two further goals (90th/90th+2nd).
