RSV Meinerzhagen is right on target in the Westfalenliga 2. And that’s as good as it gets for the second half of the season.
RSV Meinerzhagen have little to complain about this season. In Westfalenliga 2, the team is well on the way to achieving its goal for the season. It doesn’t take much more than that for satisfaction to prevail. The second half of the season also marks the end of a chapter. After nine years, coach Mutlu Demir will take his hat off at RSV Meinerzhagen. But first, this season will be played to a close.
Mutlu Demir, coach of RSV Meinerzhagen, on…
The first half of the league season: “We’re doing okay (laughs). We’re five points clear at the top and eight points clear at the bottom in a crazy, interesting and exciting Westfalenliga 2. We’re still in the district cup. That makes for a nice Christmas (laughs). We’re very happy, especially after getting 19 new players in the summer.”
What was your best moment? “Every win is nice in its own way. But there was no key moment for us. The defeats were also instructive for us.”
What was your worst moment? “That was probably the unnecessary defeat at TuS Erndtebrück. We gave it everything we had and then made a mistake in the build-up. I felt sorry for the boys in particular. They didn’t deserve that.”
The goals for 2024: “The goal was a single-digit place in the table. That’s where we are now and that’s where we want to be at the end of the season. We want to finish in the top ten. “
