As expected, the regional league match between Alemannia Aachen and Borussia Mönchengladbach II was rated 0:2.
A verdict has now been reached after Aachen threw a mug. Alemannia Aachen loses the regional league match against Borussia Mönchengladbach’s U23 with 0:2 at the green table.
What happened? In the 87th minute, the referee’s assistant was hit on the back of the head by a filled hard plastic drink cup that had been thrown from the spectator stands. As a result, referee Jörn Schäfer stopped the game at the score of 0:1 because he felt it was unreasonable to continue.
In the meantime, the perpetrator has been identified by the Aachen team; he was sitting in the family block on the Tivoli. The assistant referee suffered a medically attested head injury.
Alemannia Aachen sign centre-back
Defeat at the green table, but a player signed. Alemannia Aachen have signed Dario De Vita, who was previously without a club. The central defender was last under contract with Viktoria Köln.
“With this signing, we are reacting to the prolonged absence of Alex Heinze, among other things. Above all, however, we are convinced of Dario’s qualities, which he has already been able to show in training with us in recent weeks. We believe that Dario will find his strengths here again after his injury and that he will help us,” said Alemannia managing director Sascha Eller.
The player himself said: “I am full of energy to take on this new challenge and help to continue the positive trend of the team. I’m looking forward to meeting the fans, the city and the people in and around the club.”
The defensive player will be able to make his first appearance for his new club on Saturday (2pm) when Alemannia visit SV Lippstadt.
