KFC Uerdingen continues to make a big splash on the transfer market. On Friday, 16 June 2023, the Oberliga club introduced addition number eleven.
Defender Justin Härtel joins KFC Uerdingen from TVD Velbert in the Oberliga Niederrhein.
The 28-year-old centre-back played 34 games in the recently concluded Oberliga season and scored two goals. In 2020, he joined TVD Velbert from VfB Hilden, together with Fabio Di Gaetano.
He had already gained experience with Hilden in six Oberliga seasons and developed into one of the pillars of the defence. He has played a total of 220 games in the Oberliga Niederrhein so far.
“Justin Härtel is a safe and fast defender. He knows the Oberliga Niederrhein like no other,” says Marcus John, coach and sports director of KFC Uerdingen.
Before Härtel, Uerdingen had already announced nine mostly top-class new arrivals: Michael Blum (BFC Dynamo), Fabio Di Gaetano (TVD Velbert), Hinata Gonda, Marvin Gomoluch (both SSVg Velbert), Maurice Haar (TuS Bövinghausen), Dimitrios Touratzidis (FC Wegberg-Beeck), Florian Abel (1. FC Bocholt) and Ole Päffgen (SV Straelen), Aaron Schreck (SV Darmstadt U19) and Anton Riegert (own U19).
