Since Wednesday, Schalke II’s preparation has been underway. An overview of the arrivals and departures and the dates of the preparation can be found here.
Since Wednesday, the U23 of FC Schalke has been preparing for the new season in the Regionalliga West.
As is often the case with a reserve team, there will be a major upheaval. Double-digit arrivals and departures also mean that a lot of things have to settle in first.
The Schalkers have six test matches and a training camp in Warnemünde to prepare for the fourth league season in the best possible way.
Mathias Schober, Director Knappenschmiede and Development at S04, emphasises on the S04 homepage before the start: “Compared to the previous season, the season was carefree. Jakob Fimpel has done a very good job with his team – formed a team and developed the players. Besides Kozuki, some boys have taken the next step. A good example: Daniel Kyerewaa, who will play for Preußen Münster in the third division in the new season.”
Accordingly, the focus is also on development in the new season, with the U17s or U19s also aiming for titles, while the U23s are expected to play a good role in the Regionalliga.
