Following their promotion to Kreisliga A, Fatihspor Essen have announced two top-class transfers. They are new arrivals from the Oberliga Niederrhein.
After more than a decade, Fatihspor Essen has managed to return to the Kreisliga A. A good month after the celebrations, planning for the coming season is in full swing. Fatihspor has already announced some new signings.
The two most recent new signings are quite something: With Tarkan Yerek, the Essen team has signed a long-time Oberliga regular. And Orhan Dombayci also brings the experience of more than 100 games in the fifth division to the promoted team.
Yerek played for Spvg. Schonnebeck until the end and was the longest-serving player in the squad. Due to his job, the 29-year-old midfielder terminated his contract prematurely – and continues with Fatihspor.
Besides the job reasons, Yerek explains this step with the fact that he can play together with his brothers in the future. “This was a wish we had since childhood and now we can fulfil it.” In addition, the former MSV Duisburg talent, who has 225 Oberliga appearances to his name, says: “I watched a lot of games last season and I particularly liked the family atmosphere. “
I know all the boys because we grew up together.
Orhan Dombayci
Meanwhile, Dombayci moves to the Hallo from Westfalia Herne. Previously, the defensive midfielder wore the jerseys of FC Kray, Spvg. Schonnebeck, Ratingen 04/19 and TSG Sprockhövel, among others. The 28-year-old was trained at Rot-Weiss Essen. Dombayci collected 19 Regionalliga games and 103 appearances in the Oberliga.
“I know all the boys because we grew up together and it was always clear to me that one day I would play for Fatihspor,” says Dombayci, who is also stepping down for professional reasons. “I didn’t think it would be so soon, but the circumstances just suited me too well to wait any longer.”
Before the two top-class additions, Fatihspor had already signed Faithful Gold-Toluhi (TuSpo Saarn), Baki Caki (TGD Essen-West), Serhat Yirmibes (SV Schermbeck U19), Ünver Coskun (RWT Herne), Yasar Akin (Rot-Weiss Essen II), Orkun Oktay (Adana Demirspor U19). Hasan Fidan (most recently Alemannia Essen) is also a new coach.
