Felix Weber and Max Dombrowka have been relegated to the Regionalliga with their clubs, Spielvereinigung Bayreuth and SV Meppen. Both are leaving their clubs.
Felix Weber and Max Dombrowka have two things in common: Both have been relegated from the 3rd Division with their clubs, Weber with Spielvereinigung Bayreuth and Dombrowka with SV Meppen.
And both Weber – 2020/2021 season, seven appearances – and Dombrowka – 2012 to 2015, 79 appearances – were once under contract with Rot-Weiss Essen. Now they both move on to the Regionalliga Südwest. FC 08 Homburg secured the services of the former RWE players.
Centre-back Weber moves from Bayreuth to Homburg and the 28-year-old receives a contract until June 2024 with the south-west regional league club. The 31-year-old Dombrowka even commits himself to the FCH, who will be coached by ex-Bundesliga professional Danny Schwarz in the coming season, until 2025.
Weber has already made 84 appearances in the 3rd division in his career to date for 1860 Munich and Bayreuth. In the Bavarian Regionalliga, the 28-year-old has played a total of 135 games. He also played in a friendly match for the German U15 national team in 2009.
“I am looking forward to the new club and the new surroundings. The ambitions of FC 08 Homburg match mine. I will give everything so that the club achieves its set goals,” says Weber.
Dombrowka has already made 213 appearances in the 3rd division in his career so far. In the Regionalliga, the 31-year-old has played a total of 150 games. In addition, the defender made two appearances in friendlies for the German U19 national team in 2011.
Dombrowka: “I am looking forward to my new challenge at FC 08 Homburg. The deciding factor for me was that we will be playing a serious role in next year’s promotion campaign. So far, I have only heard good things about the club and the region. Besides, I already know Danny Schwarz from their times together at FC Bayern. “
