Alemannia Aachen have now also conceded a defeat in their third test match in Turkey after a draw and win.
Alemannia Aachen end their training camp in Belek, Turkey, with a defeat after a 1-1 draw against 1. FC Lokomotive Leipzig and a 2-1 win against Polish first division side Radomiak Radom.
On Friday, it was again against a Polish first division team. The opponent was Górnik Zabrze, the club where Lukas Podolski also plays. Even before the Turkey training camp, Zabrze had won 3:1 at Rot-Weiss Essen and later also participated in the indoor tournament in Gummersbach.
Now Zabrze defeated the next German representative in the winter preparation. Against Aachen, it was 2-1 in the end for the Poles.
“Lukas Podolski became a father again and left on Thursday. He wasn’t there,” Helge Hohl told
Despite the defeat at the end – Aachen’s plane leaves Antalya for Düsseldorf on Saturday at 5.50pm – the Alemannia coach drew a positive conclusion. Hohl: “Especially against Radomiak we played a really good game. Then against Zabrze it was a good game in half-time two. We fly back to Germany on Saturday evening with a good feeling and then we want to get the necessary fine-tuning on site before the Düsseldorf II game.”
Hohl adds: “Our conclusion is very good. The boys have done a great job. We did a lot of sessions, the boys got a lot of input through video analysis. We have also moved closer together once again. The training camp was a complete success. “
