Preußen Münster has responded to the serious knee injury suffered by its record signing Antonio Tikvic by signing a replacement who knows the 2nd Bundesliga inside out.
A few days after central defender and record signing Antonio Tikvic suffered a serious cruciate ligament injury in the match against Karlsruher SC (2-3), SC Preußen Münster was once again active in the transfer market. Jannis Heuer is moving from 1. FC Kaiserlautern to Hammer Straße on loan.
“Antonio’s injury was a complete shock for us, and we had to react quickly. We will give him all the time and support he needs. We have been watching Jannis for some time and now had the opportunity to bring him to Münster. He is very fast, physically strong, and tough in tackles. At the same time, he has good footballing ability and likes to have the ball at his feet. Jannis is confident in his manner and fully committed in training. These are all qualities that we need and that can benefit our game,“ said sporting director Ole Kittner, delighted with the transfer. For the 1.89-meter-tall defender, everything happened very quickly: ”The club made a big effort to sign me, and the sporting prospects immediately sparked my interest and convinced me. The way football is played here suits me very well. I also know a few players, which should make it easier for me to settle in. I lived with Paul Jaeckel in Wolfsburg for a few years.”
The 26-year-old enjoyed his footballing education at Hannover 96 and, above all, at VfL Wolfsburg, where he played for all the youth teams up to the U23s. In the summer of 2021, he joined second division side SC Paderborn, for whom he made 63 appearances in the second division. He has been playing for 1. FC Kaiserlautern since 2024 and has made 26 appearances in the 2. Bundesliga. He has scored six goals in his 89 appearances in Germany’s second highest division.
