Against Alemannia Aachen – SC Wiedenbrück prepares for fan rush

SC Wiedenbrück is taking precautions for the home match against Alemannia Aachen. The East Westphalian club wants to prevent a fan stampede.

The euphoria surrounding Alemannia Aachen is huge. Whether Wuppertaler SV does not win against Fortuna Köln on Friday, April 26, 7:30 p.m. or Aachen beats 1. FC Bocholt at home the next day (2 p.m.): Promotion to league three is as good as certain.

The following away game at SC Wiedenbrück on Saturday, May 4, 2 p.m., could therefore be played by de Alemannia as the designated third division team. Recently, many fans have been following Aachen in their fight for promotion. That is unlikely to change even if a decision is made.

In any case, the hosts are preparing for this. The club has announced that the box office will remain closed against Aachen. Tickets are only available in advance. The Wiedenbrückers are dividing this into two phases.

Phase 1: Season ticket holders (Monday, April 22 – Tuesday, April 30) Season ticket holders have the opportunity to exchange their season ticket for a match day ticket. From May 2, tickets that have not been exchanged will go on sale. There will be no admission on match day without a separate match day ticket.

Phase 2: free advance sale (Monday, April 29 – Friday, May 3): Exchange and pre-sale points are Sport-Wien in Rheda-Wiedenbrück and the SC Wiedenbrück office (opening hours: Tuesday + Thursday 17:30 – 19:00). Tickets for the home section will only be sold to fans from the surrounding area

The last sentence in particular is likely to attract attention in the Aachen camp. It is common practice in all leagues to switch to the home sections via the host club when the visitors’ stands are full. SC Wiedenbrück, like SC Paderborn recently, wants to prevent this.

However, SCW assures its guests an increased contingent: “In addition to the guest area, Alemannia Aachen will receive the covered standing-room stand. The seated stand and the standing area in front of the main entrance will be available for home fans.”

At the same time, SCW would like to make it clear once again: “It is not possible to enter the home section in the visiting team’s clothing. The guest contingent will be managed by Alemannia Aachen. “
