Fuat Kilic is no longer the coach of Alemannia Aachen. The regional league club made the announcement on Wednesday afternoon.
After the negative results of the last few weeks, Fuat Kilic has to leave as coach of Alemannia Aachen. This was announced by the club from the Regionalliga West on Wednesday. Sports director Helge Hohl will take over for the time being and prepare the team for Saturday’s away game at SV Straelen.
“We are more than grateful to Fuat for the work he has done here at Alemannia. His tireless commitment was a more than important component in leading the club to staying in the league,” explained managing director Sascha Eller. “The entire Alemannia wishes Fuat all the best for the future, both privately and professionally.”
For Kilic, this marks the end of his second term in charge at the Dreiländereck. He already coached the club from 2016 until the beginning of 2020. He returned just under a year ago and led TSV to a relegation place. The start to the current season was promising, with Alemannia losing only one of their first eight games.
But then came the setback and three defeats in a row with 1:5 goals against Bocholt, Fortuna Köln and Gladbach II – the latter being abandoned at 0:1 two minutes before the end due to a cup being thrown. Aachen are currently in tenth place in the table.
The decision to part ways with Kilic was preceded by “intensive analyses by the club management”. The sporting direction is to change, with a change in the coaching position, according to the club’s statement.
