Amaimouni-Echghouyab in demand – Bundesliga clubs already watching former Essen player

MSV Duisburg lost 4-1 to TSG Hoffenheim II. Ayoube Amaimouni-Echghouyab also played a strong game. He is being courted by several clubs.

The score was 4-0 at halftime, and TSG Hoffenheim II ultimately defeated MSV Duisburg 4-1. Among the outstanding TSG players was Ayoube Amaimouni-Echghouyab, who contributed one goal—his eighth of the season in 14 games.

“It was a lot of fun, and everything we set out to do worked out. We want to continue in the same vein in the coming weeks and not do any less,” said the 20-year-old winger after the game on “Magenta Sport.”

The Spanish-born Moroccan has long been on the radar of various scouts. No wonder, given his performances; he now seems to be underchallenged in the 3rd division. What’s more, Amaimouni-Echghouyab’s contract expires in the summer of 2026. “I’m just focusing on the league – week by week. Everything else is unimportant to me at the moment. We’ll see where I play next season,” said the sought-after player.

According to forecasts, VfL Wolfsburg, Bayer Leverkusen, VfB Stuttgart, Hamburger SV, 1. FC Köln, as well as international clubs such as Como (Italy) and FC Bruges (Belgium) are interested in the dribbling and goal-scoring offensive player. But of course, TSG Hoffenheim will also try to keep their gem in Kraichgau with a Bundesliga contract. The talented player is spoiled for choice.

Amaimouni-Echghouyab: A highly interesting career via Essen, Bielefeld, and Erkenschwick

Amaimouni-Echghouyab once played for Rot-Weiss Essen’s U13 to U17 teams. The offensive player was not accepted into the RWE U19 Bundesliga team. He tried his luck at Arminia Bielefeld. After two years in the A-youth team, he was not offered a contract at the Alm either and had to look for a new club.

The Hoffenheim player, who grew up in Dortmund’s Nordstadt district, ended up at Spielvereinigung Erkenschwick in the Oberliga Westfalen. The versatile winger played 33 games (18 goals, six assists) in the Stimberg jersey. In the summer of 2024, he moved to Hoffenheim to join then-TSG II coach Vincent Wagner.

Amaimouni-Echghouyab has currently played 42 games, scored 15 goals, and provided 12 assists in the Hoffenheim jersey. He has scored five goals in the current season.

Former Erkenschwick coach Magnus Niemöller said a few weeks ago about his former protégé to Forecasting: “He has taken the next step in his development at Hoffenheim. He has a bright future ahead of him. He is currently making his way in the 3rd division. I can already imagine that several clubs are showing interest in him. Based on his career, he has what it takes to be a crowd favorite.”
