In the derby in the Oberliga Westfalen between ASC Dortmund and TuS Bövinghausen, the favorites from Aplerbeck prevailed 2:0.
ASC Dortmund won the Dortmund city derby against TuS Bövinghausen in the manner of a top team. In a tough match, the second-placed team in the Westphalia top division won 2:0 in the end.
In the first half, ASC newcomer Semin Kojic scored the 1:0 (25′). After half-time, Maximilian Podehl (70′) put the lid on it.
“You could see the experience and the individual class of the opponent in the two goals. Nevertheless, I have to pay my team a huge compliment. The whole team trained superbly and was well prepared for the game. We will implement this better and better in the next few games and see the quality we bring to the pitch,” said a not dissatisfied guest coach Danny Voß.
The TuS team was almost completely reshuffled. Due to 17 departures, the team was completely renewed and thrown together. However, the visitors put in a strong fighting performance and stood up to the runners-up in the league.
ASC coach Marco Stiepermann was also full of praise: “I don’t know how Bövinghausen will get on, but that was a decent performance for a team that has only been together for a few days. They’ll be able to upset a few more teams in the league. “
The player-coach is also satisfied with his team’s performance: “I’d say it was a good working win. I demanded from the boys what they brought to the pitch. As always, a compact defense. We played almost flawlessly, didn’t let anything get in the way on the whole and then lived up to our role as favorites.”
While ASC are back in second place in the league, level on points with league leaders Lotte, Bövinghausen remain in tenth place, at least for one night. After the squad reshuffle, the aim was to stay in the league.
A goal that Voß is still sticking to after the match against ASC: “I think anyone who was at the game and saw the passion and discipline that was displayed saw that. You can’t get everything perfect in such a short time of two and a half weeks. That goes without saying. From what I’ve seen, I’m 100 percent convinced that we’ll stay in the league. “
