On the final day, the Europeans, captained by Sweden’s Björn Borg, lost all three of their matches: two in singles and one in doubles.
On Friday, Roger Federer had given his farewell performance in London.
Many players – such as Rafael Nadal and Stefanos Tsitsipas – spoke of “moments for eternity” that they experienced. Tsitsipas, by the way, lost his singles match against the US American Frances Tiafoe. And youngster Felix Auger-Aliassime from Canada prevailed against Serbia’s Novak Djokovic.

Nadal and Federer couldn’t hold back the tears.
The Swiss competed in the doubles with Rafael Nadal and lost the last match of his professional career. But the 41-year-old Federer was very satisfied with the farewell evening.
