His contract with VfL Bochum expired, now he is trying a new start in Switzerland. Silvére Ganvoula was presented there on Wednesday.
In 2019, Silvére Ganvoula moved from RSC Anderlecht to VfL Bochum. Over the years, the striker’s record became weaker and weaker.
In the meantime, he was loaned out to Cercle Brugge, and the season that has now ended could not satisfy him either. Since his contract in Bochum expired, the separation was the logical consequence.
Now the 27-year-old has found a new club. Ganvoula is moving to BSC Young Boys in Switzerland. He signed a three-year contract plus an option. Ganvoula made 110 appearances for VfL Bochum. He scored 23 goals and provided 10 assists. The attacker made 18 appearances for the national team of the Republic of Congo. He captained the national team twice. YB sporting director Steve von Bergen emphasised after the transfer: “We are delighted to have been able to sign Silvère Ganvoula, a very experienced striker. He has great desire to prove his qualities at BSC Young Boys and to take on the new challenge.”
