District league team SuS Haarzopf has completed its squad planning. One last new addition was officially presented on Wednesday.
Promoted SuS Haarzopf opens the Bezirksliga season on Friday evening (August 11, 7:30 p.m.) with a home match against ESC Preußen. Immediately before the start, the reigning Kreisliga A champions have officially presented one last new addition: Semih Cimen moves from Heisinger SV to the Föhrenweg.
The 23-year-old was trained in youth at the then Niederrheinligist ESG 99/06 and took his first steps in senior football at Blau-Gelb Überruhr, where he played two Landesliga games in 2018/19. Since 2019, he then laced up the shoes for Heisinger SV. Meanwhile, Cimen has 81 district league games on his resume.
“Semih has a very good left foot, is strong at standards and also fits into our squad in terms of character. Our coaching team will certainly develop him further. He has already moved to us quite regularly before June 30, we have only now introduced him a little later. We are very happy with the squad and the new signings,” said sporting director Friedhelm Ingenhag, explaining the transfer. Cimen and Ingenhag already know each other from common Heisinger times.
For the opening game against Prussia, however, two newcomers will not be able to play at all due to injury. Ingenhag explains: “Our only problem is that two newcomers are injured. Justin Kaiser and Johannes Flatow are out for the long term with serious injuries. “
As a promoted team we bake small rolls in this strong group, but we are already confident. Our goal is a single-digit place in the table.

The 67-year-old, on the other hand, was largely satisfied with the preparation. The big highlight was a 1-1 draw against top division side ETB Schwarz-Weiß Essen. Haarzopf thus starts its mission in the district league with a lot of euphoria – and an experienced team. Sporting director Ingenhag is hoping for a carefree season: “As a promoted team, we are baking small rolls in this strong group, but we are already confident. Our goal is a single-digit place in the table. “
