Bielefeld game sold out – how fans can still get Mannheim tickets

Great euphoria at Essen’s Hafenstraße! The fans are running into the third division fifth-placed team. RWE announced “sold out” for the next home game.

Three wins – 2:1 against BVB U23, 2:1 against Saarbrücken and 2:1 against Duisburg – in a row in the 3rd division. Rot-Weiss Essen hadn’t done that for what felt like half an eternity. The reward: fifth place after 13 match days. The fans at RWE are already dreaming of more.

The euphoria is correspondingly high. The stadium on Hafenstrasse seems to be slowly reaching its limits. In any case, the next game is sold out!

There is not a single ticket left for Saturday’s match against Arminia Bielefeld. The clash on the 14th matchday of the third division against the relegated second division side is the third game of the current soccer year, after Münster and Dresden, to be played in front of a sold-out home crowd. For the first time this season, all guest block tickets are also sold out.

RWE has welcomed 101,302 spectators in its six home matches to date, which corresponds to an average of 16,884 fans per match. After the Bielefeld match, this figure will rise to around 17,200.

One week later, the next highlight awaits RWE – when they play traditional club SV Waldhof Mannheim at home again (Sunday, November 12, 4.30 pm).
