What’s going on with the match schedules this year? After the leak in the 1st Bundesliga, it seems that the match schedule of the Regionalliga West has now also been leaked.
First of all: Officially, the match schedule for the 2023/2024 Regionalliga West season has not yet been published.
After the publication of the match schedules of the 1st and 2nd Bundesliga, the schedule of the 3rd Liga is to be announced this week. After that, the regional leagues usually follow.
However, on Wednesday afternoon (5 July), a published screenshot by a fan of Alemannia Aachen in the Facebook group “Regionalliga West – Von Fans für Fans” caused a stir. On this picture, a photo from “dfb.net”, the first all matches of Alemannia are listed. If this plan is correct, there will be a real cracker on matchday 1.
The duel between Alemannia Aachen and Wuppertaler SV is listed here. The match is scheduled to take place on Friday, 28 July, on the Aachen Tivoli.
That would be a real thriller in front of 15,000 to 20,000 fans! Both clubs have upgraded their squads and are considered top favourites for promotion. SV Rödinghausen and Rot-Weiß Oberhausen are named as hot pursuers – see the big Forecasting Coaches Survey.
On matchday 2, Alemannia will travel to 1. FC Bocholt, and on matchday 3, Aachen will host Borussia Mönchengladbach II in the Kaiserstadt. The action continues on Match Days 4 and 5 with duels against two teams from the Ruhr region. On 19 August, Aachen has to travel to Rot-Weiß Oberhausen and one week later the second team of FC Schalke 04 comes to the Tivoli.
In September, Alemannia Aachen will face FC Gütersloh, Rot Weiss Ahlen, Fortuna Düsseldorf II and 1. FC Köln II at home. The next matches are against: Fortuna Köln (A), FC Wegberg-Beeck (H), SV Rödinghausen (A), SC Paderborn II (H), SV Lippstadt (A), SC Wiedenbrück (H), 1. FC Düren (H) and SSVg Velbert (A). The last game of the season would be against Velbert on 18 May at the Tivoli.
Note: We would like to emphasise once again at this point: None of these dates has yet been confirmed by the West German Football Association (WDFV), which is responsible for the Regionalliga West.
