Bindemann change perfect! This is what Niemeyer and the host club say

After many years, homegrown Deniz-Fabian Bindemann is leaving SC Preußen Münster. He moves to a current Regionalliga West competitor.

On Friday morning, April 28, 2023, RevierSport reported that Deniz-Fabian Bindemann will move from SC Preußen Münster to the U23 team of Fortuna Düsseldorf and will receive a two-year contract from July 1, 2023. The clubs confirmed the transfer on Friday afternoon.

A native of Münster, Deniz Bindemann has been through all of SC Preußen’s youth teams since U14 and made the step up to the pros in the spring of 2021 as a U19 youngster. In twelve season-ending appearances, he scored eight goals and has been an integral part of the first team ever since. After seven years together, they will part ways at the end of the season.

“We fought until the end to convince Deniz to stay, because we are convinced of his qualities and would have liked to take the next development steps with him in the 3rd division. In the end, Deniz decided on a different perspective, that’s part of the business. We wish him all the best for his future path,” commented Peter Niemeyer, managing director of sport at the Adlerclub, on the move.

At the age of 20, Bindemann has made a total of 49 appearances (14 goals) in the Regionalliga West, plus 13 games (11 goals) in the Oberliga. He played all of these games in the jersey of newly promoted third division team SC Preußen Münster.

Stefan Vollmerhausen, sporting director of the NLZ at Fortuna Düsseldorf, says: “With Deniz Bindemann, we are gaining an interesting offensive player for our U23s who, despite his young age, has already gained some experience in the Regionalliga and is far from finished with his development. He is capable of scoring goals and will play an important role in our team in the coming season. We are delighted that Deniz has chosen Fortuna. “
