Rot-Weiß Oberhausen has had bad luck with injuries very early in the season. Two players are out “until further notice”.
Bad news for Rot-Weiß Oberhausen. Already after the first matchday of the new regional league season, the Revierklub has to cope with two painful absences. Nico Klaß and Kelvin Lunga, two important players, were injured in the opening victory against Alemannia Aachen (3:1) last Friday. According to RWO, the duo will be out “until further notice”.
Klaß had already torn a ligament during the warm-up and is a clear candidate for the starting eleven in central defence. Newcomer Lunga started from the beginning against Aachen. The attacker set up Sven Kreyer’s goal in the first half to make it 2-0.
Now coach Mike Terranova will have to manage without them for the time being. The next game is next Sunday (2 p.m.) away at Borussia Mönchengladbach’s U23.
