Bövinghausen and Rhynern drop points, first win for Erndtebrück

On matchday 6 in the Oberliga Westfalen, top teams Rhynern and Bövinghausen dropped points, while Erndtebrück celebrated their first win of the season.

Matchday 6 in the Oberliga Westfalen, which is incredibly close, especially after these results. There are just three points between third and eighth place. Eight games were on the agenda on Sunday, already on Saturday Sportfreunde Lotte and Victoria Clarholz parted 0:0. And also Sunday afternoon did not bring many goals at first. Here are all the results at a glance:

Preußen Münster II – TuS Bövinghausen 0:0

A goalless draw prevented the promoted team from jumping to the top of the table. But even in the sixth game and against third-placed Preußen Münster II, Kevin Großkreutz’s team remains unbeaten. On Friday evening (23 September), Erndtebrück comes to Bövinghausen, Münster receives third-placed Finnentrop/Bamenohl on the following Sunday.

Westfalia Rhynern – SpVgg Vreden 0:0

There was also a goalless draw in Rhynern. But thanks to Bövinghausen’s draw, Westfalia remain top of the table. An early sending-off against Tim Neumann (22nd) made the task of Vreden difficult for the leaders at home early on. The fifth point was added to the visitors’ account, and with 14 points the top duo is still Rhynern/Bövinghausen.

SC Paderborn II – TSG Sprockhövel 3:0 (0:0)

The SCP were the only team to score three goals this weekend. Kai Klefisch scored for the visitors after just over an hour, Ken Robin Czok (85th) added just before the end to decide the game for the Paderborn side, who celebrated their second win of the season after veteran Christian Strohdiek (89th) made it 3-0. Sprockhövel remain bottom with four points.

Eintracht Rheine – TuS Erndtebrück 0:2 (0:1)

Sosuke Fokuchi (5th) gave the visitors an early lead, which the bottom team held until stoppage time. In the third minute of extra time, Murat-Kaan Yazar decided the game and redeemed Erndtebrück, who celebrated their longed-for first win of the season.

1st FC Gievenbeck – SF Siegen 1:1 (1:1)

The points were shared in the west of Münster. Maximilian Brüwer (9th) made it 1-0 for the home side, Michél Harrer equalised for the Siegen side after just over half an hour. The point doesn’t really help the Siegen side, they remain in the basement, while Gievenbeck are in fifth place.

FC Gütersloh – ASC 09 Dortmund 1:0 (0:0)

On Thursday, FC Schalke come to Gütersloh for a test, in the league they had a 1-0 home win against ASC Dortmund. Marcel Lücke (67th) scored the final goal after a goalless first half to give FCG their third win in a row. ASC Dortmund remain in mid-table with their third defeat.
