RB Leipzig has already reached where BVB, Schalke and VfL Bochum want to go.
At the weekend, the time had finally come. The women of Borussia Dortmund celebrated the next promotion. From the district league it went to the state league.
After the 15:0 against Wambeler SV, the champagne corks were allowed to pop. BVB marched easily through the league. 19 games, 19 victories. A goal ratio of 119:4.
Mandy Reinhardt emphasized on BVB’s club homepage. “It was breathtaking and even much better than I had imagined.
Impressive: 1234 spectators watched the BVB women’s match. “The girls played a super game and I am very proud. To clinch promotion to the Landesliga on their return to the Rote Erde is just a cool story,” said BVB coach Thomas Sulewski.
And Lea Rogge-Herper told the club’s own media: “This victory, this promotion, this backdrop – just goosebumps.”
Schalke and VfL also still with promotion possibilities
A little further ahead than BVB is already VfL Bochum, currently active in the Regionalliga, where they are playing a long-distance duel with the women of Borussia Mönchengladbach for promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga.
The Schalke women – like BVB in the Bezirksliga – are on the verge of promotion to the Landesliga. There they lead the table with a twelve-point advantage over TuS Gahlen. Their record: 20 games, 18 wins, one draw, one defeat, all with a goal difference of 91:12.
RB Leipzig promoted to the women’s Bundesliga
RB Leipzig’s women’s soccer team is already where BVB, Schalke and Bochum want to be. The Leipzig women have clinched the championship in the 2nd Bundesliga ahead of schedule.
The RB women benefited from FSV Gütersloh 2000’s 1:2 loss to FC Ingolstadt on Sunday. With 52 points, RB is a commanding leader in the 2nd Bundesliga standings.
