BVB market values: Attacking duo dazzle and become increasingly expensive

The new market values for Borussia Dortmund are in: Alongside two big winners, there has also been a significant drop on the transfer market.

If Karim Adeyemi weren’t currently sidelined with a thigh injury, the Borussia Dortmund international would be able to boost his market value even further with performances like his three-goal gala in the Champions League against Celtic Glasgow.

But even so, his performances since the end of last season have been enough to see the 22-year-old make a significant jump in the transfermarkt.de update. And Adeyemi even has a teammate who has achieved the same feat.

In the new valuation by transfermarkt.de, Karim Adeyemi now has a new market value of 35 million euros. The only time his value was higher in his career was in the summer of 2023, when the speedy winger was valued at €40 million. In May, his value was still €28 million – the whopping €7 million increase even makes Adeyemi one of the biggest winners of the latest Bundesliga update.

Only Bayern Munich’s Aleksandar Pavlovic (from €30 million to €50 million) and Michael Olise (from €20 million to €30 million), Frankfurt’s Omar Marmoush (from €22 million to €40 million) and Hugo Ekitiké (from €20 million to €30 million), Stuttgart’s Enzo Millot (from €30 million to €42 million) and Angelo Stiller (from €20 million to €28 million), and Leverkusen’s Jeanuél Belocian (from €10 million to €20 million) saw even bigger increases in real terms than Adeyemi.

Gittens also gains, Reyna loses market value

Jamie Gittens is the second big winner in the adjusted BVB market values. Like his offensive colleague, Gittens increased his value from 28 to 35 million euros, according to transfermarkt.de. “Speed and creativity have always been Jamie’s hallmarks, and his unpredictability in one-on-one situations gives our squad something very special, even at his young age,“ said Dortmund’s sporting director Sebastian Kehl recently after extending Gittens’ contract (until 2025).

”It’s fun to watch him work on himself and his game. We are far from seeing the end of this development, and we will give him the time he needs.” Three BVB players remain whose market values have been adjusted: Defender Waldemar Anton (28) went from 20 to 24 million euros, while the previously unrated 18-year-old winger Almugera Kabar is now valued at one million euros.

However, there is also a big loser in Dortmund: Giovanni Reyna (21) has seen his market value fall from 18 to 12 million euros. Real only lost out in the Bundesliga with the Bayern trio Leroy Sané (from €70 million to €60 million), Kingsley Coman (from €50 million to €40 million), Leon Georetzka (from €30 million to €22 million) and Stuttgart’s Chris Führich (from €28 million to €22 million).
