The second round matches in the DFB Cup have been scheduled. Three clubs from the Ruhr region are still in the running.
The draw for the second round of the DFB Cup has already caused a stir. Now it is clear when Borussia Dortmund, VfL Bochum, and FC Schalke 04 will play. As expected, Eintracht Frankfurt’s home game against Borussia Dortmund, certainly the highest-class match in sporting terms, will be broadcast on free-to-air TV. However, it will not be shown during prime time, but on Tuesday, October 28, at 6:30 p.m. The match will be shown on ZDF. On the evening of the same day, VfL Bochum will play away at FC Augsburg at 8:45 p.m. The Bundesliga club is a tough opponent, as the Bavarian Swabians have had a good start to the season under new coach Sandro Wagner.
FC Schalke 04 fans will have to wait one more day. On Wednesday, October 29, at 8:45 p.m., the Royal Blues will play away at SV Darmstadt 98. At the same time, the second free-TV game of the round will kick off with the match between 1. FC Köln and FC Bayern Munich. The game will be broadcast on ARD.
