Fußball-Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund go into Bayern’s top-of-the-table clash with RB Leipzig on Friday night (8.30pm/DAZN) with a lot of respect.
“We felt it ourselves. We are still warned enough about the quality the opponent can bring to the pitch,” said coach Edin Terzic, referring to the 0:3 at RB in the first leg.
It was ex-BVB coach Marco Rose’s debut in Leipzig, and no other Bundesliga team has picked up more points than RB since that sixth matchday. “We are very similar in all parameters and statistics, it will be an absolute top game,” Terzic said. “We want to increase the gap on Leipzig, they want to get closer – both teams will go completely for the win.”
BVB will be able to rely on right-back Ryerson again at the sold-out stadium (81,365 spectators), who has recovered from an eye infection. According to Terzic, internationals Karim Adeyemi and Youssoufa Moukoko are making “clear steps forward”, with Adeyemi about to return to training with the ball.
BVB are level on points with leaders and perennial champions Bayern Munich, Leipzig have collected four points less.
