Captain praises the fans and wants to “turn the tables in the next game”.

Rot-Weiss Essen remain winless after their fourth match in the 3rd division. RWE suffered a 0:1 defeat at Borussia Dortmund II. The captain thanked the fans.

Rot-Weiss Essen is still waiting for its first win in the 3rd Division. But even after the 0:1 at Borussia Dortmund’s U23, Christoph Dabrowski’s team was celebrated for minutes.

The fans’ credit has not yet been used up. More than 5,000 Essen fans created a super atmosphere at Signal Iduna Park, which with 11079 fans was a record crowd for a Dortmund U23 game.

We have seen a team that is stable and the knot will burst. I am convinced of that. The fans are fantastic and we have to use that to our advantage.

Essen captain Daniel Heber also addressed some words to the supporters after the third defeat in the fourth game. Heber on “Magenta TV”: “We fought and defended in a compact block from the beginning. In the second half, we tried everything again, but we didn’t take our chances and are back with a defeat. The fans gave us super support but it wasn’t enough again.” He added: “The fans are still carrying us from last season, the euphoria is still there. You can see what an awesome club Rot-Weiss Essen is. We hope that in the next game we can turn the tables together. “

Coach Dabrowski is also convinced that this will happen. “We have seen a team that is stable and the knot will break. I am convinced of that. The fans are fantastic and we have to use that to our advantage.”

RWE have their next chance to do so on Saturday (20 August, 2pm) against FC Ingolstadt. Until then, the Essen team will definitely remain in last place in the table.
