SC Preußen Münster has announced another departure. It is a striker who is moving to the Regionalliga Nordost
Jan Dahlke is leaving SC Preußen Münster a year earlier than planned. The 24-year-old striker’s contract was terminated by mutual agreement after Dahlke expressed his desire to move in order to get more playing time. To that end, he has chosen Carl Zeiss Jena from the Regionalliga Nordost as his new club.
“For his further development, Jan needs playing practice, which we cannot guarantee him in view of the strong competition on the offensive positions with us,” explained SCP sports director Peter Niemeyer in a club statement. “We would therefore like to give him the opportunity to gain more playing time elsewhere and take the next step. Even though Jan was not able to assert himself with us in the league in the long term, he was an important part of our team. “
Preußen Münster: Dahlke with strong cup performances
Dahlke played 22 times in the Regionalliga last season, starting five games. He scored four goals and set up three goals. Dahlke caused a sensation in the Westphalia Cup, where he scored nine times in the first four games.
Born in Bensheim, he only moved to Münster a year ago. He came from Wormatia Worms. Now he is moving on to Jena. “A player who can help us immediately. We are very happy to be able to fill the still open position in our forward line with Jan in such a qualitative way,” Carl Zeiss’ sports director Tobias Werner was pleased about the signing. “He also completes our forward types and gives us even more options in the game.”
In Münster, meanwhile, the upheaval continues. Dahlke is the twelfth departure from last year’s almost promoted team. Meanwhile, eight new players and three transfers from the U19 Bundesliga have joined coach Sascha Hildmann’s team.
