In the Champions League, FC Arsenal face FC Sevilla. Bayern can cement their status as group leaders against Galatasaray, while Union Berlin will be hoping to pick up their first points against Napoli.
Arsenal FC face Sevilla FC in the Champions League this Tuesday evening at 9pm. After the city derby against Chelsea in the Premier League, which ended 2-2, the English runners-up will be hoping for a win in the top flight. Most recently, they suffered a surprising 2:0 defeat against Lens. Thanks to the clear 4:0 win against PSV Eindhoven, Arsenal are second in their group.
Sevilla FC are in 13th place in the league after a poor start to the season. In their last league game, they drew against Real Madrid. A Sevilla fan was thrown out of the stadium after hurling racist insults at Real star Vinicius Júnior. It is not the first incident of this kind. Vinicius Júnior is repeatedly racially abused by opposing fans.
Seville FC are still waiting for their first Champions League win of the season. Sevilla drew against Lens and Eindhoven. It remains to be seen whether the new coach Diego Alonso will be able to beat FC Arsenal. Two weeks ago, Alonso took over from his predecessor José Luis Mendilibar.
Matches with German participation on Tuesday
German teams are also in action in the Champions League on Tuesday. FC Bayern Munich will face Galatasaray in Istanbul at 18:45 as group leaders with six points out of a possible six. The Turkish champions could overtake Bayern with a surprise win.
FC Copenhagen, who made life difficult for FC Bayern for a long time in their last CL match and even took the lead first, now have to face United in Manchester at 9pm.
Union Berlin will also be at home to Italian champions Napoli at 9pm. So far, things are not going well for the stumbling Union side in either the Bundesliga or the Champions League. With zero points, the capital city club is last in its group. SSC Napoli are the next tough opponents for Urs Fischer’s team.
Meanwhile, group leaders Real Madrid travel to SC Braga in Portugal. Should Braga manage a win, they would be level on points with Madrid. The match kicks off at 9 p.m.
