From now on, sporting director Manno will intensify talks with potential successors. “I’m already in talks. We had to be prepared for this day and we are. But we are deliberately taking our time. The coaching decision is very important. Everything has to be right. We will start our preparations on 23 June and the new man will be in place by then, or sooner if possible,” emphasizes Manno.

The requirement profile? “We need someone a little different to Ersan Parlatan. He is more likely to be someone who can deal well with ready-made teams. The new man must put his ego aside and set an example of teamwork,” explains Manno.

The ex-professional has already spoken to several coaches. He does not want to reveal names. Manno only says this much: “There are really well-known coaches who would like to work for us. Wuppertaler SV is still a well-known name in soccer in Germany. “
