Coup – long-time Regionalliga player returns

Bonner SC is once again setting its sights on a return to the Regionalliga West this season. There is a top-class newcomer for this.

Last season, Bonner SC’s targeted return to the top flight came to nothing. In the end, the long-time regional league team only finished fourth in the Mittelrheinliga.

Things should be better in the coming season. In any case, the BSC can count on the support of an experienced returnee. Adis Omerbasic will play for the Rheinlöwen again in the future.

The 28-year-old already wore the Bonn jersey between the beginning of 2016 and summer 2020. Since then, Omerbasic played for 1. FC Düren. Now the winger, who can be used in all positions on the right side, is coming back to Sportpark Nord.

His move to the lower division is also related to the fact that Omerbasic will start an apprenticeship. The club writes that the flexibility and experience of the newcomer will strengthen the squad enormously.

Omerbasic can already look back on 143 appearances in the Regionalliga West for Düren, Bonn and his training club Schalke. He has scored eleven goals and provided 16 assists. Last season, the German-Bosnian played a key role in Düren’s strong season.

Omerbasic has already played 126 games for Bonn. More will be added in the new season. “I am very happy to be able to play for Bonn SC again. I will give everything for BSC and win as many games as possible. I know the club and the environment and simply feel at home here,” he said in a club statement.
