Türkspor Dortmund quickly settled in the Oberliga Westfalen after being promoted – and has now strengthened its squad for the second half of the season.
Things are going well for Türkspor Dortmund: after being promoted to the Oberliga Westfalen, the team is also showing its skills one level higher and is currently in a strong 4th place in the table.
And the team, coached by Sebastian Tyrala, has also been performing very strongly under the roof. Türkspor Dortmund won the 2024 title at the Dortmund Indoor City Championship.
With the momentum from the hall, the team hopes to continue positively in the second half of the Oberliga Westfalen season. From now on, Hakan Sezer will also do everything he can to ensure that Türkspor continues to have a successful season.
As Forecasting has learned, the 29-year-old is moving from SV Westfalia Rhynern to Türkspor Dortmund within the league. The official confirmation of the clubs is still pending.

Sezer has played eleven matches for Rhynern this season, scoring six goals. Overall, he has impressive statistics in the Oberliga – Sezer has 65 appearances and 46 goals in the 5th division!
Sezer has also played in the Regionalliga West, one division above, making a total of 35 appearances (three goals, two assists) for SV Lippstadt and Rot Weiss Ahlen.
Türkspor is currently eleven points behind league leaders Sportfreunde Lotte and eight points behind second-placed ASC 09 Dortmund. As a reminder, the champion and runner-up from the Oberliga Westfalen division are promoted to the Regionalliga at the end of the season.
Tyrala has already set the goal for the second half of the season: “We want to annoy a few more teams and win every game. But we’re not talking about promotion yet. Our goal before the season was to finish in the top six. We’ll stick to that. If one or the other team makes a mistake, we’ll take that as well. After the defeat of ASC 09 Dortmund, some said that we are now back in the running. God forbid. We’ll take it as it comes.”
