Double digits again, crazy fight for the top scorer title

If RWE II maintains its average in the Kreisliga B, they will score 244 goals in the season.

Eleven games, eleven wins, all with a goal difference of 96:11. Unless a football miracle occurs, at the end of the season, Red-White Essen will be promoted from District League B1 Essen to District League A.

That was already the plan last year, but this time it will be successfully implemented. Since the first match day, the team of coach Stefan Lorenz has left no doubt as to how serious the team is about not letting anything slip through its fingers this year.

This weekend, they once again recorded a double-digit victory. They beat TuRa 1886 Essen 11-0. The focus was on the two attackers Emre Kilic and Dominik Milaszewski.

Kilic scored four times on Sunday, Milaszewski two. The other goals were scored by Sebastian Rosbach (2), Dogan Utus (2) and Abou Touray Toure.

But the focus is on Kilic and Milaszewski’s goals. The two strikers are engaged in a crazy internal race for the top scorer award. For a long time, the experienced Milaszewski was ahead, but now Kilic has overtaken him.

The strong record after eleven games: Kilic scored 30 times, Milaszewski 25 times. This is also how the previous average of 8.73 goals per game was achieved. If RWE maintains this, they will have scored 244 goals by the end of the season.

Next weekend (Sunday, November 5, 3 p.m.), however, things could get a little tighter when DJK TuS Essen-Holsterhausen II (fourth in the table) visits RWE.

The only team that can still keep up with RWE, though, is Ballfreunde Bergeborbeck. The Ballfreunde won 4-2 at DJK Adler Union Frintrop III.

At the bottom of the table, there was the next setback for bottom-of-the-league SG Essen-Schönebeck III. They lost their basement duel against Werden-Heidhausen III at home 2:3, despite taking a 2:0 lead.

The second basement duel saw more goals. SV Preußen Eiberg II defeated Alemannia Essen II 8:3.
