Dresden and RWE affected, Gladbach without two central defenders against VfL

Many suspensions even after the last matchday. Three players alone are out for VfL Bochum’s game in Gladbach.

The longer a season lasts, the more often teams are hit by suspensions. After the last matchday, several players in the top three professional leagues have once again been affected by matches involving the district.

An overview of the players who are suspended next weekend

TSG Hoffenheim – BVB

Nobody is suspended for Borussia Dortmund’s clash at Hoffenheim.

Borussia Mönchengladbach – VfL Bochum

Both teams will have to cope with painful losses this weekend. VfL captain Anthony Losilla picked up his fifth yellow card after a foul in the sensational 3-2 win over FC Bayern Munich.

Borussia Mönchengladbach, meanwhile, are missing the heart of their back three. Both Nico Elvedi and Ko Itakura were shown a fifth yellow card in the 2-0 defeat to RB Leipzig and will therefore miss the game against VfL.

1. FC Magdeburg – Schalke 04

No Schalke player is suspended in Magdeburg. The hosts will have to replace Jean Hugonet. The defensive midfielder saw red in only his tenth appearance in Berlin – meaning he will not be involved against Schalke. His suspension has now been set at one match.

Dynamo Dresden – Rot-Weiss Essen

RWE have lost four of their last seven games, Dresden three of their last four. Nevertheless, second place will play sixth next Saturday (2 p.m.). And without two central defenders. Dresden’s Lars Bünning picked up his fifth yellow card in the 2-1 defeat in Aue. The same happened to Essen’s Jose Enrique Rios Alonso in the 2-0 defeat against SSV Ulm 1846.

Preußen Münster – MSV Duisburg

There are no yellow cards for the MSV game in Münster.

SpVgg Unterhaching – BVB U23

Borussia Dortmund’s U23s will be without Prince Aning, who is serving a two-match suspension, for the visit of Unterhaching in the 3rd division
