A few days ago, Duisburger SV 1900 parted ways with its coach Volker Hohmann. Now the club presented a completely new sporting management.
Duisburger SV 1900 went down 1:13 at home against the league leaders VfB Speldorf. Too much of a good thing for those responsible at DSV, who gave coach Volker Hohmann his walking papers after this debacle. RevierSport reported.
Only a few days after the dismissal, the 1900 team showed a positive reaction and surprised with a 1-1 draw in Oberhausen at Spielvereinigung Sterkrade 06/07.
And on Sunday, the district league team will play another Sterkrade club, namely 72, when Hohmann’s successor will also be sitting on the DSV coach’s bench.
Alessandro Vergaro will take over. Last season, Vergaro was still responsible for the A-League club SV Duissern.
He also knows Philipp Seefeldt from this position. Philipp Seefeldt is now the new sports director at Duisburger SV 1900 and brought Vergaro to DSV 1900 on Düsseldorfer Straße.
Duisburger SV 1900 reorganises: Vergaro coach, Seefeld sporting director, Mastrolonardo sporting director
And the personnel changes at Duisburg’s traditional club continue: In addition to sporting director Seefeldt and coach Vergaro, Michele Mastrolonardo also joins DSV. He will serve as sporting director with immediate effect.
Until September, Mastrolonardo was still part of the GSG Duisburg squad, which, as is well known, is coached by ex-professional Dietmar “Didi” Schacht and ranks eighth in the district league. Now the 36-year-old Mastrolonardo works for GSG’s league rivals DSV 1900 as an official.
