SG Dynamo Dresden do not yet know whether the club will play in the 3rd or 2nd division next season. But the Saxons have already announced two new signings.
On Friday, April 12, SG Dynamo Dresden unveiled Dennis Duah as their second signing for the 2024/2025 season.
The 1.90-meter central defender is moving to Elbflorenz from Hamburger SV. Duah currently plays for the Hanseatic club’s second team in the Regionalliga Nord.
“Dennis impresses with his athletic and robust style of play. With his speed and physical tackling, he can give our defense further stability. In addition, at the age of 20 he already has a high level of playing experience and knows how to take on responsibility as a leader. He also has considerable development potential, which we would like to further develop over the next few years,” said David Fischer, SGD’s Director of Communications.
Duah was born in Hagenow on August 26, 2003. After starting his soccer career at VfL Lohbrügge, the central defender later moved to the youth section of FC St. Pauli and then to the juniors of Hamburger SV. Duah has played 71 games for HSV’s second team in the Regionalliga Nord and is captaining the Hanseatic side this season.
Midfielder Casar also arrives for the new season
Dresden had previously signed midfielder Aljaz Casar on a free transfer from Hallescher FC.
“We are happy that we were able to sign Aljaz, a robust, athletic and technically well-trained player who was sought after by many clubs. He impresses with his overview and great understanding of the game when playing with the ball. Thanks to his variability, he can further strengthen our team both in midfield and in defense and thus bring his skills into play. We are looking forward to seeing him in the black and yellow jersey from the summer,” said Fischer.
Casar was born on September 17, 2000 in Murska Sobota, Slovenia. After starting his soccer career at NS Mura and other stops in Slovenia, the 23-year-old moved to Austria in 2019 and joined SRC Altach. The defensive midfielder moved to Hallescher FC via the second team of TSG 1899 Hoffenheim, where he has made 58 appearances in the 3rd division to date
