Eight-goal spectacle, ASC liberation, Bövinghausen chasers stay in the race

26 goals in just six games, a real sweeping victory and an important three-goal win in a losing cause for ASC Dortmund. The third matchday of the Oberliga Westfalen had a lot to offer.

There were plenty of goals to see on the third Sunday of Oberliga Westphalia. SG Finnentrop/Bamenohl in particular were in the mood for goals and celebrated a real shooting festival in Vreden. Meanwhile, Victoria Clarholz and Westfalia Rhynern remain close to TuS Bövinghausen.

SpVgg Vreden – SG Finnentrop/Bamenohl 0:6

After a good start to the season with four points from the first two games, one would hardly have expected SpVgg Vreden to go completely to the wall against SG Finnentrop/Bamenohl on matchday three. But the visitors, who started the match with three points, had an absolutely great day.

Moritz Stange opened the scoring after only 17 minutes. Things got really turbulent after half an hour. Phillip Hennes (31st) and Robin Camprobin Corchero (35th) extended the lead with a quick double strike. But it got even worse for Vreden: Only one minute later Dennis Wüpping was sent off with red. Before the break, Hennes and Maurice Werlein ensured a clear 5:0 lead at the break. In the second half, the visitors took it a little easier. Hennes converted the second penalty of the day after 68 minutes to make the final score 6-0.

ASC 09 Dortmund – SV Schermbeck 2:0

After two defeats to start the season, ASC 09 Dortmund finally wanted to score against SV Schermbeck on matchday three. But the Dortmunders made life difficult for themselves. Jan Held picked up a red card after just 22 minutes. But Marcel Münzel defied the shortage and put his team in the lead in the 33rd minute. Shortly before the end, David Vatikevicius made everything clear (85th). The ASC thus clinched their first three points of the season.

Dellbrücker SC – Westfalia Rhynern 1:3

Westfalia Rhynern continues to be victorious. At Delbrücker SC, it was the third win in the third match. Tom Franke (7th) and Christopher Stöhr (11th) put the visitors on the winning track with an early double strike. But shortly afterwards Lennard Rolf had the answer for Dellbrück and kept the game open (14th). But in the second half, Halil Can Dogan ensured the decision (64th).

Victoria Clarholz – 1. FC Gievenbeck 2:1

Victoria Clarholz also gilded their perfect start to the season. At promoted 1. FC Gievenbeck, there was the third win in the third game. Gentrit Muja provided the lead shortly before the break (39.). It only got turbulent again in the final phase. Anton Mand scored the equaliser for Gievenbeck shortly before the end (83rd). But Nick Flock had a final answer ready and ensured the 2-1 final score (88th). This means that the next matchday will be a duel between the unbeaten Bövinghausen chasers Rhynern and Clarholz.

TSG Sprockhövel – Eintracht Rheine 4:4

Sprockhövel hosted Eintracht Rheine. Both teams delivered a real spectacle. Viktor Maier (20th) and Julius Hölscher gave the visitors a comfortable 4:1 lead in the meantime. Felix Sauer made it 1-1 (23rd) and the late goals of Kiyan Gilani (73rd) and Agon Arifi (80th) made it exciting again. In the 86th minute, TSG actually managed to score 4:4 through Yunus Cakir.

In Siegen, meanwhile, Preußen Münster’s second team celebrated a 2-1 victory over Sportfreunde thanks to a last-minute goal.
