Wuppertaler SV has signed another player. This time it’s a striker who once played for WSV.
Following the signing of the twins Niek and Joep Munsters (both SV Lippstadt 08), Wuppertaler SV have made their next signing.
Dilhan Demir is moving to WSV from Westphalian Oberliga club SV Schermbeck. The 20-year-old striker once played in the WSV youth team. He has made 28 appearances for Schermbeck this season, scoring four goals and assisting a further seven.
Demir is a dynamic attacking force who impresses with his flexibility and versatility on the pitch. With his speed, his two-footed play and his ability to operate in different positions, he is undoubtedly one of the best attacking players in the Oberliga Westfalen. He not only impressed the WSV management during the match observations, but also made a strong impression during a three-day trial training session.
Gaetano Manno, sporting director of Wuppertaler SV, is delighted with the transfer: “Dilhan is a fast player with a Wuppertal past. He has already proven his talent in the Oberliga and will provide us with active support from the summer. We are proud to have such a hungry and talented player in our ranks. This is exactly the kind of player we are looking for and need to achieve our goals.”
Demir also commented on his move: “I already played for Wuppertaler SV as a youth player. I’m all the more proud and happy to be able to wear the club’s colors again. I’m looking forward to the coming season and can hardly wait to play in front of the fans in the stadium.”
