ETB Schwarz-Weiß Essen celebrated their first victory in the Oberliga Niederrhein. DJK Adler Union Frintrop were beaten by Baumberg despite taking the lead.
Matchday five in the Oberliga Niederrhein. Sportfreunde Baumberg continue to march on, there were two last-minute victories and ETB Schwarz-Weiß Essen finally got their first win. Already on Saturday, KFC Uerdingen drew 0:0 with TVD Velbert, Mülheimer FC won at home against SV Sonsbeck (1:0) and SV Straelen gave FC Büderich five goals (5:1).
The team of the hour, however, continues to come from Baumberg. DJK Adler Union Frintrop also failed to take the first points from Sportfreunde. Although the promoted team led 1:0 at half-time, the hosts made short work of it in the second 45 minutes and won 7:1.
1. FC Kleve also turned around a deficit. Julian Bode had given VfB Homberg the lead (32nd), but only five minutes later Fabio Forster scored the equaliser. It looked as if the points would be shared, but Elidon Bilali was the match-winner in the 90th minute – 2:1 for the visitors. It was a similar picture in Hamborn. Sportfreunde were also 1-0 down in the first half, and it took until the final quarter of an hour before Marco De Stefano (77th) and Vedad Music (88th) brought the hosts joy.
ETB Schwarz-Weiß Essen were also delighted. After a disastrous start to the season, the team of trainer Damian Apfeld scored its first three points. Player of the day was Timur Kesim, who scored all ETB goals in the 3:1 win against TSV Meerbusch. Schwarz-Weiß thus left the bottom of the table.
Germania Ratingen also won their home match. It was a clear affair against Union Nettetal, an unchallenged 4:0 victory. The only draw on Sunday was in Schonnebeck. There, Spielvereinigung and VfB Hilden drew 2-2 in the top match – with Schonnebeck turning a 0-2 into a 2-2 in the final minutes.
