Changes in the Essen Kreisliga: Both A-League side Alemannia Essen and B-League side BV Altenessen have made a change at the coaching position.
Four wins, one draw, five defeats, makes eighth place in the Kreisliga A: Actually a good interim result for Alemannia Essen. But this does not seem to be enough for those responsible.
The Essen A-league team parted company with its previous coach Hasan Fidan. “By mutual agreement”, as they say.
“The club and the coaching team agreed after trusting and intensive talks that the working relationship would be terminated. The three captains Yunus Bucuka, Mehmet Koçak and Ahmet Çıplak will take over the coaching of the team on an interim basis until the winter break,” the Alemannia board said.
“It was a great time with the two of them. Their ambition, will and dynamism have driven us forward well. We would like to thank both coaches for their tireless efforts and wish them only the best for the future,” the board continues.
Coaching duo takes over at Altenessen Kaiserpark
While Alemannia Essen’s three captains are now responsible for the team, BV Altenessen is relying on a coaching duo.
Mario Salogga and Volkan Karatas are now the coaching duo at the ninth-placed team in the B-district league.
Salogga, 37, is no stranger to the game. The family man, who also coaches young players at BVA, was head of sports at FC Kray, a team in the top division, before joining Altenessen Kaiserpark. Here he also worked in the meantime as co-trainer of the first division team.
“Volkan was one of the first players I coached in 2002. Since we had adjusted the training days of the first team and my youth teams before the season, it is not an extra effort in terms of training days. I know almost all the players in the squad and try to support them as much as I can. Maybe we’ll manage to form a team in the foreseeable future that will be active in the Kreisliga A again at some point,” says Salogga, looking forward to his new task.
