Fan highlight in the new year, special train to this away game

After the dramatic relegation, VfL Bochum are looking ahead to the Bundesliga. One fan highlight has already been announced.

Around six weeks ago, VfL Bochum had one foot in the second division. This was followed by a sensational 3:0 at Fortuna Düsseldorf, a penalty shoot-out for the (more recent) history books and the certainty that VfL will also be a Bundesliga club in the coming season. The fans are correspondingly excited about the coming season, which already has its first highlight: There will be a special fan train.

Specifically, it’s about the away game at FC Bayern Munich, which will take place on either March 7, 8 or 9, 2025. The organizers of the ZuZ-Fanexpress have already marked this date in their calendars and will be sending a VfL train onto the tracks. The regular ticket price is 75 euros. The first 60 ticket buyers have the chance to get seats in coach one at a price of 65 euros. “Don’t hesitate too long, you’ll end up going to Munich after all, no matter when exactly the game is played,” write the organizers.

VfL Bochum and FC Bayern Munich have been fan friends for over 50 years. No riots or the like are to be expected, on the contrary: Bayern fans are explicitly invited to come along, the organizers write. There will also be no separate car for Bayern fans, but a party car, drinks, snacks and beer from the popular Bochum brewery Moritz Fiege will be offered at “fair prices”.

The organizers continue: “The Munich stadium is large and there will most likely be enough tickets for guest fans. We therefore hope that VfL will be able to guarantee all Bochum special train passengers a ticket. But that has not yet been clarified.” Likewise, of course, the departure times of the train. There will only be reliable information on this when the German Football League (DFL) has also scheduled the match between VfL Bochum and FC Bayern Munich.

No special train for the season finale at FC St. Pauli

However, there will be no special train to VfL Bochum’s final game at FC St. Pauli. “As there will only be a few tickets for us Bochum fans for the game, there will be no special train to the last game of the season. VfL would not be able to provide the train passengers with tickets as in the past, so the organization of a special train does not make sense. “
