Fans are offered a varied program

In Nuremberg there are several offers for Schalke fans. It all starts on Friday evening. FCN legends will also be there.

Matches between 1. FC Nürnberg and Schalke 04 are never normal – because the two clubs have enjoyed a close fan friendship for decades. It has long been a tradition that a colorful supporting program is offered around the matches between the two “friends”. This will also be the case this weekend when Schalke face Franconia in the 2nd Bundesliga on Saturday (1pm/Sky).

“For the first time, the members’ departments of both clubs have organized various offers where fans of the clubs can meet and explore the Franconian metropolis,” Schalke announced on their website.

As many Schalke fans will be traveling to Franconia on Friday, the first activities will be offered on Friday evening. In Nuremberg’s old town, there will be a tour of the underground tunnels beneath the castle (cost: seven euros per person) and a one-hour free walking tour through the old town. The tour ends with a red beer tasting.

Schalke against Nuremberg: Saturday starts early

The meeting point on Friday evening is also the ClubHaus of 1. FC Nürnberg, where a joint exchange between FCN and Schalke fans will take place. “There, joint activities of both clubs, fan friendship and plans for activities for the second leg will be discussed in a relaxed atmosphere,” it says.

As the second division match on Saturday kicks off at 1 p.m., things get going early on Saturday. The Nuremberg team is already offering a stadium tour at 9.30 a.m. (cost: ten euros per person). There is also the opportunity to visit the club museum not far from the stadium (admission free). A guided tour of the former Reichspartei grounds will also be offered from 10 a.m. (free of charge). In addition to the history of the grounds between 1933 and 1938, the role of the city of Nuremberg for the NSDAP and the use of the grounds by socialist workers’ sports in the 1920s will also be highlighted at individual stations.

Schalke and Nuremberg fans can test their soccer knowledge

Another item on the program is a special club quiz in a streetcar at 10 a.m. (free of charge). Members of both Schalke 04 and 1. FC Nürnberg can test their soccer knowledge – and take a streetcar ride through Nuremberg at the same time. Two club legends from 1. FC Nürnberg will also be there.

Important: Interested fans must register for all these activities using a registration form, which can be found on the Schalke homepage.
