Fans believe in Schalke’s quick return to the Bundesliga

The 2nd Bundesliga starts on Friday. In a survey, many fans believe in a Bundesliga return of Hertha and Schalke after only one year.

The 2nd Bundesliga kicks off on Friday with the Hamburger SV vs. Schalke 04 clash (8:30 p.m.). Our partner Bundesliga-Barometer has asked the fans in advance, over 5600 participants have decided.

At the end of the season, FC Schalke will be promoted first, followed by HSV, and Hertha will also go into relegation. Looking at their own supporters, S04 fans are also confident enough to say that Thomas Reis’ eleven will finish the season in first place. The Fortuna supporters believe that their Düsseldorfers can finish third and thus the relegation.

When asked about positive surprises in the coming season, St. Pauli is at the top. 29.5 percent believe the Kiez kickers will be the biggest surprise, followed by 1. FC Magdeburg (18 percent) and SV Elversberg (17.4 percent), who made the breakthrough from the Regionalliga into the 2nd League.

With regard to the big clubs from Berlin, Gelsenkirchen and Hamburg, there is no middle ground. While some believe in the trio at the top, other users think that the three teams will be the disappointment of the season.

43.3 percent believe this with regard to Hertha, 40.3 percent in HSV, which is making its sixth attempt to get back into the Bundesliga. And 23.4 percent believe Schalke will disappoint. The first coaching change of the season is expected at HSV, where coach Tim Walter must deliver after once again missing out on Bundesliga promotion. 39.4 percent of participants see the biggest ejection seat in Hamburg.
