The fans have carried VfL through the season. Most recently, 5000 fans were at training. There is an appeal before the Leverkusen game.
History can repeat itself. In the previous season, VfL Bochum beat Bayer Leverkusen 3-0 in the last home game of the season to avoid relegation. This Sunday, Bayer Leverkusen will once again be the opponent in the last home game of the season. As in the previous season, the “Ultras Bochum” are planning a special campaign entitled “Alle im Trikot”.
It is another special campaign this season, in which the majority of the fans have (almost) always supported the Bundesliga club positively without exception. Most recently, before the match at Union Berlin, the Bundesliga club moved its final training session to the Ruhrstadion. 5,000 fans were there to prepare the team – successfully, as is now clear – for the difficult away game.
To get in the mood for the last home game, the “Ultras Bochum” are calling for a march to the Ruhrstadion, as they did last year. The meeting point is on Sunday, May 12, at 2:30 p.m. at the Rathausglocke. The march to the Ruhrstadion will begin at 3.30 pm.
The call goes on to say that relegation could be sealed on the couch on Saturday evening. That is, if Borussia Dortmund wins at FSV Mainz 05. “But it’s much more exciting to achieve relegation with a home win in the last home game!”
VfL Bochum needs the “full force of the Ruhrstadion”
Champions Leverkusen are “a sporting challenge” at the Ruhrstadion. But the aim now is to end Leverkusen’s streak. “That requires the full force of the Ruhrstadion.”
Every fan is expressly invited, regardless of whether they have a ticket for the last home game or not. “Grab your friends, family or other blue and white acquaintances and let’s top last year’s march together. Let’s create images on Castroper Straße and in the Ruhrstadion that have never been seen before in Bochum. “
