FC Brünninghausen has strengthened its squad for the second half of the season in the Oberliga Westfalen. A leading player from the Landesliga is coming.
FC Brünninghausen started the season in the Oberliga Westfalen as a promoted team without too many expectations. Nevertheless, coach Rafik Halim, who left in the summer, was “dissatisfied” in his interim assessment and demanded an improvement from his team.
Dortmund will also be supported in their fight against relegation by a new external signing. They have signed Tobias Hartmann. The 27-year-old defensive player joins the FCB from SV Brackel 06.
“Brünninghausen is one of the big clubs in Dortmund, and it was already a goal for me to play for a higher club like FCB. I am therefore very happy that this opportunity has now arisen,” Hartmann explained his transfer in a statement from the club.
In Brackel, the defender wore the captain’s armband and played a successful round in the Landesliga Westfalen 3. SVB occupies third place in the table and is in the race for promotion. The fact that the 06ers have the best defense in the league is certainly also thanks to Hartmann

He is now continuing his career two leagues higher – and is no longer fighting for promotion, but to avoid relegation. “The Oberliga is of course a great incentive and I’m really looking forward to learning a lot from the team and especially the coaches,” emphasized the new signing. “Training at this high level and developing further as a result is a great sporting incentive for me. That’s why I naturally want to do my bit from now on to help the club stay in the league and play in the top division next year too.”
Hartmann is the first addition of the winter at Brünninghausen, which starts the rest of the series at SpVgg Vreden on February 4. However, two players have left the club: Kubilay Tekin is moving to SpVg Hagen 11 in the Landesliga. Alwin Weber is playing for SC Neheim in the Westfalenliga this year
