With just five weeks to go in Schalke 04’s summer preparations, the third test match opponent has now been announced after Spelle-Venhaus and Bocholt.
Starting on 24 June, FC Schalke 04 will prepare for the second league season – on Tuesday, the third test match opponent for the summer preparation was announced: As the Danish internet portal “bold.dk” wrote, the Schalkers will meet FC Copenhagen on 11 July as part of the training camp in Mittersill – the Danish champions are preparing for the season in Scheffau am Wilden Kaiser, 48 kilometres from Mittersill.
Schalke may meet Larsson
It is possible that the Schalkers will then have a reunion with Jordan Larsson. Shortly before the end of the winter transfer period, the Königsblauen loaned the 25-year-old to Denmark. Larsson got on much better in Denmark (16 competitive games, 6 goals) than in Germany (12 competitive games, no goals).
The loan contract includes an option to buy, and Copenhagen are toying with the idea of pulling this option. Larsson wants to stay with FC: “It’s up to the club to decide what they want to do. But for my part, I want to continue here. I am very happy here,” Larsson said in an interview in May.
