SF Lotte are pressing ahead with their rebuild following promotion to the Regionalliga.
After promotion from the Oberliga Westfalen to the Regionalliga West, SF Lotte are in need of rebuilding. 13 players will leave the club, five new players have been signed so far.
On Wednesday, the promoted team announced its fifth addition. Striker Lars Spit will strengthen coach Fabian Lübbers’ team in the future. He moves to Lotte from regional league club SV Meppen.
Spit once played for the Dutch club Quick ’20 Oldenzaal in his home country for three years. When the 1.83 m tall center forward joined Oberliga club TuS Bersenbrück in the summer of 2021, he demonstrated his versatile skills in Germany for the first time. The statistics speak for themselves: Spit scored 30 goals in 53 appearances for Bersenbrück. The Dutchman set up 23 more.
Last summer, his performances were rewarded: The attacker received higher-class offers and moved to SV Meppen in the Regionalliga Nord.
With three goals in 24 games for SV Meppen, his tally was somewhat reduced, but the 25-year-old only played the full 90 minutes three times – despite this, Spit became an SVM fan favorite.
Now he wants to show around the Lotter Kreuz that he can also score regularly in the fourth division.
Additions to SF Lotte: Steffen Westphal (SV Lippstadt), Elario Ghassan (SSV Jeddeloh II), Kevin Schacht (Preußen Münster II), Beytullah Özer (SC Wiedenbrück), Lars Spit (SV Meppen)
Departures from SF Lotte: Samy Benmbarek (Victoria Clarholz), Adrian Wanner (Eintracht Rheine), Max Ritter (SC Paderborn II), Addy-Waku Menga (career end), Gianluca Marzullo, Sergio Gucciardo, Michael Luyambula, Fabian Kerellaj, Georges Baya Baya, Tolga Özdemir, Berkan Ersoy, Max-Niklas Milde and Christopher Rasper (all destination unknown)
