SpVgg Erkenschwick is continuing to get down to business when it comes to squad planning. The first new signing has now been confirmed.
It continues to go blow by blow at SpVgg Erkenschwick. Just a few hours before the game at SC Preußen Münster II in the Oberliga Westfalen, the Schwickers announced their first new signing for the coming season. Leon Bachmann is moving to the Stimberg from Niederrhein-Oberliga club TVD Velbert.
“Leon fits our requirements profile perfectly and we are delighted that he has chosen our colors,” said a Facebook post from the Spielvereinigung. The 23-year-old is currently still the first new face in the squad.
Despite his age, the midfielder can already look back on some experience – including in the Oberliga. He has almost 50 appearances to his name. Before moving to Velbert, he took his first steps in senior football at SpVg Schonnebeck.
Bachmann enjoyed his training in the youth teams of FC Schalke 04 and Rot-Weiß Oberhausen. He was also captain of the A-Junior Bundesliga team at the cloverleaf club before joining the Swallows.
However, it is also true that Bachmann was repeatedly set back by injuries. Even this season, he is not necessarily part of Velbert’s regular team. So far, he has often come off the bench or not been used at all. He is probably hoping for more playing time in Erkenschwick.
It has been an eventful few days for the Spielvereinigung anyway. First, the club submitted its application for a place in the regional league to the association. This was followed by extensions almost on a daily basis. First, head coach Magnus Niemöller gave his commitment for the coming season.
Only a short time later, the first players also said yes. First Finn Wortmann, who had increasingly developed into a key player. Next, Lennard Isensee and goalkeeper Ubeyd Güzel also signed for another year
