Wuppertaler SV defeats TSG Sprockhövel 2:1. Coach Ersan Parlatan already sees a lot of good things and room for improvement. Heading to training camp in seven days
Wuppertaler SV rounded off their weekend with another success. After winning the indoor city championship in Wuppertal, coach Ersan Parlatan’s team also came out on top in their first test match. The new WSV coach celebrated a 2:1 victory at TSG Sprockhövel on his debut.
“First of all, I’m pleased that we won,” Parlatan told the Westdeutsche Zeitung (WZ). “It’s always important to show a certain winning mentality. The boys did a lot of what we and I want to see from them. But there were also a few things that didn’t work out so well.”
The regional league team struggled in the first half. Parlatan made a change for the second half – and Wuppertal got into the game better. However, it took an own goal from Felix Sauer (63′) to give them the lead. TSG equalized shortly afterwards through Emre Yesilova (65′). Damjan Marceta scored the winner for WSV (82′).
